When we founded Blende8 and decided to include “Itzehoe” in the name, it was also a sign of our connection to the city of Itzehoe and the Steinburg district. When we were planning our first exhibition, “L(i)ebenswertes Steinburg,” at the IZET Innovation Center in Itzehoe, we were inspired—in addition to our desire to showcase the diversity of the Steinburg district—by the idea that we wanted to do some good through our photography. That’s why our photos are available for purchase, and we donate 10% of the purchase price to a project supported by the Itzehoe Lions Club. The exhibition at the Itzehoe Regional Court is now our third exhibition since 2025. During this time, we’ve continued to grow both as a photography club and as photographers. In addition to new members, we’ve gained new ideas, subjects, and perspectives—and some elements that featured in our previous exhibitions have been intentionally set aside to make room for something new. This evolution is also reflected in the current exhibition: 60 images from our previous exhibitions are no longer on display this time; instead, we’ve included 69 new works in the exhibition. The result is not a mere repetition, but an exhibition that showcases our current photographic work while also highlighting the evolution of Blende8. The exhibition also highlights just how much Steinburg has to offer in terms of quality of life and charm. The image formats and materials listed in this online exhibition correspond to the exhibits in the physical exhibition. If you are interested in a particular image but would like it in a different format or on a different material, this can of course be arranged.
